Patty Darrah
Birth Doula
Serving Twin Cities Metro
Hi there! My name is Patty and I am a DONA trained birth doula devoted to holding sacred, supportive space for families as they move through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum journey. I believe birth is not only a physical experience but also a deeply emotional and transformative life experience. My work is rooted in compassionate, active listening—meeting each person exactly where they are, and helping them feel seen, heard, and held throughout their journey.
I offer physical, emotional, and spiritual support through attentive presence, listening, and prayer, creating a calm and steady space where you can draw strength from your faith and trust in God’s guidance. My background as a clinic coordinator at the MN Birth Center has given me a strong foundation in both the clinical flow of care and the intimate, interpersonal side of birth work. I bring a steady, nurturing presence and value being present with each individual as there is a uniqueness of every birth story.
My previous career experience includes serving in a variety of leadership roles as a full-time missionary with YWAM in Oregon. A deep desire for people to know God and understand the depth of His love shapes every area of my life—both professionally and in my relationships. I have been personally transformed by the truth of the gospel and continue to grow in my relationship with God, which fuels my passion to walk alongside others in their own journeys of faith.
It is from this foundation that I feel called to support women through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season. I desire to offer care that reflects God’s love—meeting women where they are, honoring their experiences, and providing compassionate, holistic support during these significant moments of life.
