Our Story + Heart Behind Kingdom Beginnings

Our Mission

Kingdom Beginnings Birth Services exists to support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season with compassionate, evidence-based, Christ-centered care.

What began as a personal calling has grown into a collective of doulas serving families across the Twin Cities and Central Minnesota. Together, we are passionate about walking alongside parents during one of life’s most sacred and transformative seasons.

What Makes Kingdom Beginnings Birth Services Different?

1. A Christ-Centered, Prayer-Led Approach

We integrate evidence-based care with Christ-centered encouragement, prayer, and spiritual support for families who desire it, creating a holistic experience for mind, body, and spirit.

2. A Full, Coordinated Doula Team - Not Just One Doula

Families are paired with one primary doula who walks closely with them throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Behind her stands an organized, aligned team of prepared backup doulas. This model ensures deep relationship-building with the security of seamless support should the unexpected occur.

3. 24/7 On-Call Availability With Organized Backups

Your primary doula personally remains on call for you day and night throughout your entire pregnancy. If the unexpected happens, your pre-selected backup doulas already know you, your preferences, and your birth plan, ensuring seamless, uninterrupted support.

4. Thoughtfully Matched Doulas at Every Step

We match families with a doula whose personality, experience, and values align closely with their needs to ensure a natural, comfortable, and confident relationship from the very start.

5. Whole Family Support

We don’t replace anyone, but instead we empower the whole family. Your doula guides and strengthens your family through comfort techniques, education, and emotional support.

6. Comprehensive Education + Support Options

We offer in-person and online childbirth education.

7. A Standard of Excellence in Communication

Clear, proactive, and compassionate communication is one of our core values. Families never feel lost or unsure. We walk with you intentionally from inquiry to postpartum.

8. Faith-Filled Community Connections

We partner with trusted chiropractors, midwives, lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapists, and many other faith-based resources throughout Minnesota, connecting families with a strong, supportive village as they walk through this sacred season.

9. Trauma-Informed + Personalized Care

We honor your story with sensitivity, respect, and individualized support. Every family’s beliefs, preferences, and emotional needs are cared for with gentleness and professionalism.

10. A Ministry-Minded Heart Behind the Work

Birth work is not just our profession… It’s our calling. Our team serves families with humility, compassion, and a deep desire to reflect the love of Jesus in every interaction.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN WORKING WITH US:

1. Complimentary 20-minute discovery call with our founder to learn about your needs, preferences, and birth goals. This conversation helps us thoughtfully recommend doulas from our team who may be the best fit for your family.

2. Connect with the right team member or provider
When appropriate, we can arrange a brief video connection with one or more recommended doulas or support professionals so you can personally connect before moving forward.

3. Secure your care
Once you choose the support that fits your family, you’ll complete your service contract and pay your 50% retainer or other payment agreement so your care can officially be reserved.

4. Begin receiving support from your primary care team member
Depending on the services you choose, you may begin working with your birth doula, postpartum doula, lactation or feeding support professional, dietitian, childbirth educator, or another trusted member of our team.

5. Feel supported through the season ahead
For birth clients, this includes continuous labor and birth support, 24/7 on-call availability, and access to our backup doula system. For postpartum, lactation, feeding, nutrition, and education clients, this may include scheduled visits, virtual support, practical education, and personalized guidance.

6. Receive care that is thoughtful, faith-centered, and family-focused
From your first questions through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, feeding, and early family life, our heart is that you feel informed, cared for, and never alone as you walk through this sacred season.

Whether you are preparing for birth, healing postpartum, navigating feeding, seeking education, or looking for whole-family support, our goal is simple: to help you feel known, supported, and confidently cared for.
