Serving Central Minnesota + the Twin Cities
Hello! I’m Ciara King, Certified Birth Doula, Certified Postpartum Doula, Certified BRM® Pro, Certified VBAC & Cesarean Birth Professional, Childbirth Educator, and founder of Kingdom Beginnings Birth Worker Collective in Zimmerman, Minnesota.
It is one of my greatest honors to walk alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season, offering Christ-like, evidence-based support, education, and encouragement every step of the way.
My mission is both simple and sacred: to help families see and experience the goodness of God during one of life’s most transformative seasons.
Whether I am serving personally as a doula or leading our collective of skilled birth workers, my heart is to create an empowering environment that honors each family’s unique journey and birth choices.
I am deeply passionate about natural healing, the way God so beautifully designed our bodies, and the wisdom and intuition that mothers carry within them.
I am also trained and certified in the Body Ready Method®, an approach that supports the body in pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum, and beyond through alignment, mobility, and functional movement patterns.
Bodywork-informed preparation can be incredibly valuable during pregnancy and as the body prepares for birth. Many women carry tension patterns, imbalances, compensations, or past experiences within their bodies that can affect comfort, movement, and body awareness. Through simple but intentional techniques, this work can help support comfort in pregnancy, encourage more balanced and functional movement, and help women better understand and work with their bodies during this season.
What I love most about these principles is that they are not limited to pregnancy or birth. They can offer practical tools that continue serving women and families well into postpartum recovery and everyday life. The awareness and movement patterns built during this season can shape the way a mother moves, rests, heals, nourishes, and cares for the people entrusted to her. In that way, this work can have an impact that reaches beyond the individual, supporting the rhythms, wellbeing, and daily function of the whole family.
These principles have also been deeply impactful in my own life. As I have applied them personally, they have helped me recognize and change long-standing movement patterns and have brought complete relief in areas of chronic pain I had lived with for years. While every body and experience are different, and no specific outcome can be guaranteed, I deeply value this work as one more way to support women holistically and to offer tools that may continue serving them long after birth.
At Kingdom Beginnings, we believe in walking with Minnesota families in a way that uplifts so that every parent feels both confident and supported in their choices and experiences.
I love partnering with other trusted professionals in our community so that our collective is able to provide seamless, whole-person care, nurturing not only the physical aspects of birth and parenthood, but also delicately tending to the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of parents and babies.
Outside of doula life, I am happily married to my best friend, Jordon, and a mother to three living children (16, 5, and 2).
I am always seeking growth, whether in business, family health, or becoming a better version of myself, while aiming to be guided by Christ in all that I do.
I am honored to homeschool my children and treasure creating a home filled with faith, learning, and adventure.
When I’m not supporting families, I love exploring new ways to embrace natural living, learning to be a better homemaker, and soaking in life’s joys with my family.
FUN FACTS:
As I began my journey into being a Christian Doula, I was a union construction foreman. I worked in the field for almost a decade before being blessed to do doula work fulltime.
I’m terrified of heights, yet I went down seven ziplines through the jungle on our honeymoon, right after reading a story of a sloth stopping on the zipline in the same country…
I raise organic chickens and ducks at our home in Central Minnesota for eggs, and one of my favorite things is gathering them… Multiple times a day… Because it is so exciting to me.
I dream of having a green thumb, though I’m still learning and extremely unsuccessful at this point.
