Meet Madelyn of Nourish 911: IBCLC Lactation Support for Twin Cities Families
When it comes to feeding support, families deserve care that is knowledgeable, practical, and truly compassionate. Madelyn with Nourish 911 offers that valuable support to families in the Twin Cities Metro and surrounding areas, with virtual options available as well. Through Nourish 911, she provides lactation support, CPR and first aid education, and car seat safety support to families, with a heart for helping parents feel more equipped through these tender seasons.
As women in this field, I find our work never truly ends. It often times goes into the late hours of the night, whether we are supporting a mom or building our network with other birth professionals that we can trust to later refer a family to.
Meet Madelyn of Nourish 911
Madelyn’s background brings in both thorough professional training and lived experience. She has a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics, has worked in EMS for more than eight years, and became an IBCLC in spring 2025 after first obtaining her Certified Lactation Counselor credential. Her own experiences with pregnancy, breastfeeding initiation, postpartum challenges, pumping at work, and navigating bottle refusal shaped the way she now supports other families. Madelyn knows firsthand the challenges that can be faced and how valuable it is to have a trusted IBCLC through pregnancy and the postpartum season.
A Whole-Person Approach to Lactation Support
What stands out so much to me about Madelyn is that her work is not only about feeding mechanics. She also contracts as a perinatal mental health coach and is working toward her PMH-C, reflecting a care approach that recognizes how closely feeding and mental health can be connected in the perinatal period. She also recently began working with the Minnesota Department of Health to advocate for lactation reimbursement for Medicaid patients, which is such a blessing as she works to help make care more accessible.
Minnesota Lactation Support from Pregnancy Through Weaning
Nourish 911 offers support across a wide range of feeding needs. Her lactation services include prenatal visits, postpartum visits, back-to-work visits, flange fitting visits, text support, and other breastfeeding support. Madelyn also describes lactation care as support from prenatal to weaning, centered around helping families reach their goals, whether that means breastfeeding for two days, two weeks, two months, or beyond. As a birth and postpartum doula, I really value that she focuses on family-centered care, ensuring she is addressing their goals, no matter what that looks like.
Accessible Support for Twin Cities, MN Families
One thing many families may appreciate is the variety of ways Madelyn makes support accessible. She offers both in-home and virtual care, and she also offers a free virtual prenatal visit, which could be such a helpful starting point for families wanting guidance before their baby arrives. This prenatal visit is a great time to discuss insurance benefits, your goals, any personal history, and to get to know Madelyn. Personalized care is an important part of what she does, and as a doula I understand the benefit of connecting with professionals early on to begin the valuable work of relationship building.
More Than Just Lactation Support
For families preparing for life with their baby, Nourish 911 offers more than just lactation visits. She also provides CPR and first aid education, as well as car seat safety support. That broad level of support can be such a gift for new and growing families who want practical preparation alongside feeding help.
Why I Value Referring Families to Nourish 911
I especially love connecting families with providers who not only bring education and credentials but who also care deeply about helping parents feel supported, informed, and capable. Madelyn’s heart behind Nourish 911 is to help guide parents in their feeding goals while also supporting stronger bonds within the family, and that mission comes through clearly in the way she describes her work.
